New 10 refrigerator trucks have recently joined our fleet. The temperature controlled transport required the need of deliberately selecting the temperature during transport and keeping it constant. Not only fruit and vegetables are transported in this way, but also other food products, and increasingly also medical and chemical products or even temperature-sensitive electronics. There are different types of transport refrigeration, but the most common class, the so-called FRC class, guarantees a constant temperature in the range between +12° and -20° at an outside temperature of +30°. What this means in real life is that a refrigeration unit can also heat when the outside temperature is too low.
