Drive the change, join us!

Hello!

In GRUBER Logistics we believe it is fundamental to drive the change instead of endure it.
In order to make that happen we need help, we know we cannot do it alone! We must forge relationships and collaborate together with those who also believe it is possible to create a more integrated and sustainable logistics.

We stand for a more digitalized supply chain, where companies shall share information in full transparency. We are working towards being the most sustainable transports and logistics company in Europe through cargo optimization, applying advanced technologies of alternative fuels and modal shifts.

If you too, believe this shift is possible, drive the change, join us!

Electric vehicles in urban area: which is the logistics model? - Monday, June 2 | 🕓3:30-4:30 PM | Hall A4/333

In urban and periurban areas, there is increasing pressure from local authorities to deploy electric vehicles. In some cases, public authorities provide guidelines on how to modify logistics models related to urban logistics to support or even enforce this change. We are analyzing various models to determine what works best and what does not. Additionally, we will examine new electric vehicles specifically designed to facilitate this transition.
The workshop aims to foster an active debate among research organizations, authorities, and logistics companies.

The challenges of heavy duty vehicles for autonomous driving - Tuesday, June 3 | 🕓 3:30-4:30 PM | Hall A4/333

Autonomous heavy-duty vehicles are currently primarily tested in private areas. However, MODI, a project co-financed by the European Commission, aims to test autonomous features on public roads. Specifically, Gruber Logistics has conducted three tests: two in Hamburg and one in an international shipment from Dusseldorf to Oslo, passing through Rotterdam. Although these tests were conducted with a driver in the vehicle, they provided valuable insights into how a fully automated vehicle would perform in various environments. The workshop’s objective is to share the gained experience and discuss the most promising use cases and applications according to the participants.

Ensuring Accurate Fuel Emission Reporting in Road Transport - Wednesday, June 4 | 🕓 2:00-3:30 PM | Hall A4/333

Reporting emissions is not just about comparing the emissions of different fuels; it requires each entity in the chain, including producers, distributors, transport companies, shippers, and carriers, to report data accurately. This process is technically known as the chain of custody. In most cases, systematically and massively controlling the movement of molecules along the logistics chain is practically impossible. For instance, how can you be certain of what is in a truck’s tank? Is it biofuel or fossil fuel? Due to this challenge, alternative custody chains, such as mass balance and book & claim, are gaining traction in the market to provide better transparency. Book & Claim is particularly valuable as it supports the matching of supply and demand. It involves consuming sustainable fuel where possible and reporting it where needed, ensuring that the quantities purchased and declared are consistent. The workshop aims to briefly present the concepts of the chain of custody and Book & Claim, and to facilitate a discussion among experts on the major open points.
